Al Kavadlo – Yearly Recap 2012

Without a doubt, 2012 has been the biggest year of my career so far!

Between the release of my second book, Raising The Bar, and the companion DVD, I’ve accomplished things this year I once would’ve thought impossible.

(Speaking of the DVD, take a look at for a very thorough review, including some exclusive screenshots. There’s also this audio interview I recently did on

This website has grown a lot in the last year as well, receiving over a million page views in 2012. We’ve also added a message board forum and set up an official store to make it simpler to order my products. Plus the site got an awesome makeover courtesy of Chris James from

I also achieved a personal goal of completing my first Triathlon this past July!

More To Come
From the looks of it, things ain’t slowing down in 2013. I’ve just about finished the manuscript for my next book, Pushing The Limits! – Total Body Strength With No Equipment, and I’m now in the process of making my final photo selections for the book. Once that is done, I will begin working with Dragon Door on designing the layout. It’s looking good for a spring release, with the possibility of the ebook version being available this winter.

The big news, however, is the upcoming Progressive Calisthenics Certification workshops, the first of which will take place June 7-9 in St. Paul, MN. If you’ve ever wanted to train with me in person, this is your chance. Spots are already filling up, so sign up now before it’s too late!

Speaking of progressive calisthenics, here’s the second installment in my video series:

Sounds like you had an awesome year. I did too dropping 81 lbs from 270 to 189 by using body weight workouts and watching my diet with some cycling mixed it. Now I am hoping to lose the last bit of flab on my stomach and get really strong this year. Come on hand stands! Thanks for all the inspiration over the last year. I love the site and bought C.C. because of you. Rock on!

Congrats on the big year, Al. This was the year I discovered calisthenics and, along with your site, the discovery has completely changed my life/outlook. It’s only been a few months and my progress has been great, can’t wait to see what I’m achieving this time next year! Good luck for the seminar too, mate.

I’m excited for the new book! Been practicing my back bridges and pistols since I sold my pull-up bar (too big for the new apt) and lent out my kettle bell to a friend who then went to NY for the next two weeks… getting halfway decent but always could use more suggestions and challenges!

I’m excited for this next book, too! I think it’s going to be even better than my last one!

I was just introduced to your site. You have some great workouts. I already fool around with the bridge and “kip-up” and handstand stuff. But that’s just it. Fooling around. I’m going to actively attempt some of these workouts as regular. Good stuff. Thank you for your hard work.

Howdy Al, ive been a massive fan for about 6 months now and can honestly say that your enthusiasm and workouts/philosophies are changing my life for the better 🙂 I look forward to every workout now and got my 1st decent back bridge the other day. Thanks for everything man, and greetings from England 🙂

Hi Al! I just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year! I won’t bore you with numbers but I am making decent progress in my calisthenics and your site and videos are a constant help and motivation. Already it looks like you are going to have a really busy and an all around amazing 2013! Have fun with the PCC courses and I look forward to crossing paths one day soon (when I am a bit tougher!).. All the best from Italy!
