Al, whats the best way to improve your max number of push ups? Always going to max or doing many sets almost to failure or…? Im training (kyokushin) karate and have to do at least 60 perfect knuckle pushups in a very fatigued state- so I would like to be able to do at least 100. Thanks m8

Cool footage, Al (& Danny)! But I miss the world famous ultimate oapu:)

Thanks!  I just did that in the last video though, so I didn’t want to be too redundant.  I’m pretty sure you’ll see me perform that one in another video at some point soon.

Both methods you described can be very effective.  Keep training hard. If you’re consistent, progress will come.

You two are no longer human! HAHAHAHA! Exceptional performance! Glad to see how the human body can reach and even more pleased to see that you two are going farther and farther away! I’m a big fan of you two and I have as my main inspiration for athletic development. Thanks for another great video!

Thanks very much, Luiz!  I assure you, however, we are in fact still human.  🙂

This is the exercise video Buster Keaton would have made. Love it. The facial expressions are almost as impressive as the pushup configurations.  Almost.

Thanks, Jesse!  Things are looking good over on your blog as well!

Hi al. Convict conditioning books are great 🙂
I need a bar, so I can work on pullups and stuff. The problem is the space, I don’t have much space at home :/
Do I have any idea where can I buy a good bar?

Thanks!  If you have a doorway, you could easily install a pull-up bar in your home.  Do a google search for “doorway pull-up bar” and you will find lots of options.
