I was wondering how much cardio should be done ,I’m starting a strength training routine soon and it’ll be three times a week. ,I’m currently working on just getting to where i can do 45 min steady and was thinking when I’m ready ill start doing. 30 min jogging at 60-65% mhr and on my days off ill do 2 day.s hiit ,my goal is fatloss and getting in shape again . so would this be a good system or not? Any ideas?
So youre talking about strength training 3 days a week and cardio 3 days a week? Seems like a lot of cardio to me. I think someone focusing on calisthenics strength would be good with one or maybe two days a week of hiit, ideally sprinting. The jogging probably isn’t necessary though. Personally if I were doing a good sprinting session once a week I would feel like that was enough.
