I’m going to follow this routine: Over here, the recommended routine on reddit
But I have a question about the progressions. How should I go with it? As in adding a rep each workout, or do as many of the exercise I can do, then finish it off with it’s regression.
Example: Push Ups
Option 1:
Day 1: 3(4,4,4)
Day 2: 3(5,4,4)
Day 3: 3(5,5,4)
Day 4: 3(5,5,5)
Option 2:
Day 1: 3(5,5,5)
Day 2: 3(6,6,6)
Day 3: 4(7,7,7)
Option 3:
Day 1:
What I wanted to accomplish: 1×8 diamond push ups
What I was able to do: 5 diamond push ups, 3 narrow push ups
(Then I would keep on doing this each day, until I get to 3×8, and move to the next progression)
So, which one would be t he more beneficial for me in the long turn? Both building strength and muscle.
