If I’m doing a full body routine hitting pushups, pullups, squats, bridges, and inversions, what are your thoughts regarding doing this four days a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays? Or should I keep it to a standard three day full body approach on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays? I intend to keep sets to no more than three per exercise and progress in the movements.
It all depends on your ability to recover. The goal isn’t to work out as much as possible, it is to improve quickly. So if 3 days a week (43% of days) means you are strong and can go hard every workout, but after a couple of weeks doing 4 days (57% of days) you start to feel a pang of tendonitis, you will have to find a balance; you could try every other day (50% of days).
